Obituary for Roy C. Watson
Mr. Roy Charles Watson, 82, died Friday, November 16, 2007 at Central Mississippi Medical Center. Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 19, 2007 at the Siwell Road Church of Christ with burial to follow in Lakewood Memorial Park. Visitation is 2:00-5:00 p.m. today at Lakewood Funeral Home and 10:00 a.m. Monday at the church.
A native of Rome, Mr. Watson married Nell Malone 61 years ago. He served in in the U. S. Army in Germany during WWII. He held a Masters degree in Industrial Education from Mississippi State University and taught in the MS State Department of Education in the Vocational Division as an instructor and supervisor for 26 years until his retirement in 1990. He taught automotive mechanics in community colleges and high schools all over the state of Mississippi.
Roy was a faithful member of Siwell Road Church of Christ where he taught bible classes for many years. He also worked with World Bible School for the last 16 years.
He loved his children and grandchildren very much and was proud of all their accomplishments.
Survivors include: his wife, Nell Watson, Brandon; two sons, Hal Watson, Beaumont, Texas, Tim Watson, Madison; two daughters, Sandra Dollar, Brandon and Tammy Brantley, Meridian; and six grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Magnolia Bible College, Kosciusko.
